Ventolin HFA is used to treat bronchospasm in patients who are taking inhaled corticosteroids (aspirin, prednisone). The combination of two drugs may cause a decrease in lung function. The combination may be administered in a dose of one or two inhalations every four to six hours and twice every four to six hours, depending on the severity of the symptoms. It should be used as the dose may be reduced in people with a history of allergic bronchitis or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
